goldstar

..
recently i went down to my pal hugo's place. inna begining of the nineties hugo was the official photographer for goldstar

goldstar are - next to fargo - the most legendary band ever to come from hannover
[contrary to common belief the scorpions are not a band from hannover but an icehockey team from sarstedt and that is a part of hildesheim or goslar, but not of hannover, HK the smart editoress]

hugo believes that the core of goldstar was formed about 1991 in fast eddie's cousin's wife's wine cellar with apocalyptic helga from neutron bomb and captain starlight who was more like neutron bomb's mad hatter back then...

goldstar's bassplayer was the infamous teddy novak. keep in mind that novak was not a member of the original lineup so do not believe him if he tries to tell you differently!

goldstar were real cool and they had an appartment to live in - the famous golden hole that was a reference to mike ness' black hole down fullerton (which - judging from pld photos and documanatrys) appears inna way really similar to hannover...

down there place it was clean on the inside - and very exciting and well kept on the outside!

the guys from goldstar more or less all lived there. except for captain starlight and fast eddie - before they got kicked out of their respective flats.... especially eddie was drinking a lot as i could read in an old interview with zap magazin from homburg in 1995

on the photo pictured is the now legendary third goldstar line up with teddy novak, fast eddie and captain starlight.

this line up recorded and released the 7" E.P. "schwulske " on privileg tonträger in late 1995.
I will not show a copy of that 7" because it had offensive tracks on it like "daddy's got a pussy" and "der schwitzkasten"

but here's some other golden discs... and they very much indeed show that goldstar knew how to treat a dish!

goldstar were like masters in there specific roles and they knew how to tease an audience untill it went ape mad...

hugo gave me access to an unpublished goldstar interview he had done with them at the time their 7" E.P. was released.

but he said he could not licence his piece to Looking For Kohl. and i thought that was awful because i could have revealed really intimate details about the band as a unit as well as the group's individual attitudes

but - sadly for you more than for myself - i could not help him make up his mind - and for sure his two humble little servants didn't make my job any easier...

but back to the main topic - goldstar: after eddie had left the band to get himself a motorcycle and to ride to pakistan, goldstar got in one of the guys i went to verden with to see the freeze but i've forfotten forgot his name again, something like d. low - very much like the low in lo-fidelity...
but after him & novak quit the band, my pal starlight had to get my friend RT in as a second guitarrist and "mad" Mx on drums and they cranked out the mongo bar and maschine, but more about that later... hopefully!

I think there fifth lineup featured a bassplayer who was never introduced to hugo (here's the only photograph hugo was allowed to take) and the photo shows cpt. starlight and him having there regular brunch under a very old and very cool test tube babies poster...

i think one of goldstars best songs actually is "der schwitzkasten" because of epic lyrics like "gold-star: gut wie nie!"

.. and goldstar sure had some fans who now like i do: that...

there might be a best band inna world - but for all their fans know: "there will never be another goldstar better than the real goldstar!"...

merry go round

-

their is not a lot of things that are better than spending the afternoon inna friend's kitchen behaving like mommy's little monster and seriously listening to some "american hardcore" here and there on the internet that's just about as old as myself

that's the thing - black coffee's just for people sitting round all day and staring at they're specific walls, yours haselore

carbon dioxide

it's supposed to be better than other food cause you don't need time for preparing the meal and even better the colours look more psychedelic and the other stuff's only monochrome.

I could not stand to see any of the precious carbon dioxide wasted on acres of spinache,

join the rejects

two weeks ago i got invited to meet gender bender for some food ana smoke. when the two jolly hosts went off to get more drinks from the next akbar'n'jeff styled beer-hut i took advantage of there cool internet connection and i looked up the national sports page for some news about my favourite teams...

DSC seemed to be the new shitstirrer and it looked like somebun played the homophic card which is something we definately do not want for the league cause we don't have any of them there inna league for sure. to prove my point looked into the hammer's internet: they weren't really optimistic for the upcoming games as well - shouldn't have sunk all that money into some chap looking for a cheap billy idol rip off

I'll better cut it off now before it gets a serious bore, have a nice one anyway, yours, haselore

satanic malfunctions

as you all know from studying your history books well, rudolf hess was trying to commit suicide inna krusty the clown style with his messerschmidt and was trying to hit the atlantic with it and hitting it real hard as for he was gonna cop out of wwii!

but strangely enough he did not succeed. in spite of the atlantic being relatively big compared to the wannsee and so he accidentally landed down some acre in scotland. and what countries out there are worse than robert-the-bruce-country is to drop down from the sky on them? ... a country that has even got more more scots and midges than there are within the british cabinet is definataly not!

... and here's something that might be a lot cooler than the british cabinet - as for the latter have never made you seriously think that somebun inna third reich better had not lost that crucial battle of britain for it appears to me that the legal successsor to der german reich now produces music that is - so to speak with paul weller of paul weller fame "the bitterest pill bun's ever had to swallow" [and btw. paul it's just that one of your songs where the title fits best with the actual mp3, the smart editoress]
i mean this vid is so queer that i have to play it once again cause it combines the riffing of metallica with one of young leif garret's many misunderstood musical approaches and even better those ones of his jerry-style-rip-off-machine benni...

apart from that: some time ago i found out that before armageddon which is about to happen real soon - there will be some weeks left still - enough time for you all to repent - so better go on paying tribute to your specific god or just go on having a a great day,
yours haselore

[apparently hess - who should not to be confused with the swiss nobel laureate of roughly about the same name - later tried to convince the british authorities who were questioning him for the motives of the flight and why he had no cool secret nazi weapon on board the plane he were something like an agent. he basically tried to make them believe that he indeed had intended to land on that acre deliberately and that he were no cowardly quitter rather than somebun sent from heaven and to support his point he boldly offered them a fake a peace treaty where he had faked der führer's secretary's signature. but the brits knew exactly that the war had already been lost for the fritzens as for ernst "well paid" schäfer not being able to track down that one of the seven obscure lama who really new how you do construct the vergeltungswaffe. by the way exactly that very task heinrich "draft dodger" harrer later succeeded in when he just kidnapped the tibetan holy cow and in the end succeeded to sell tibet to the chinese who were interested in getting to know about about der cool vergeltungswaffe, too! yours hk, the always smart and more than close to the real facts editoress]

not pictured

hasmuth told me somebun were gonna pay him for some reviews and it seems like he thinks he's going to be the next jon landau (which would my stomach make turn for all the shit musicians he will be coming up with then...) - or rather maybe some sorta white pawed tookie williams (which would be cool inna way cause it were gonna solve most of my problems that got to do with a proper housekeeping...)

...so the sucker's off writing some stuff for somebun and finally i've got some time for myself, checking out the neighbors inna hood and maybe watching some jerry jackson cause i found out that he's got a new info up on his internet and even better he's got a new one up on that tells you that racism is a really bad thing and not funny at all...

inna evening we met back home and he suddenly shouted senseless abuse at me, inna fake b-boy style like this one here:

"fuck you hase-lore - hahaha - haha - I'm the wigga you love to hate"
[most of the original lyrics had been subject to change, yours hk, smart editoress]

... and i was getting really upset and started thinking about a divorce again. but that's none of your business, so have a great day anyways and don't forget that honky will never ever become a true five percenter, yours haselore

where's those photographs showing myself meeting up with hellsongs?

I think I did an interview with hellsongs from somewhere down scandinavia but I can't find anything on my hard disk drive except for this photograph of my self that was taken some days after the show onna obviously sunny morning right after the sickest trip down to some disco that i had ever experienced.

now here's a short but very cool vid of one of most popular covers hellsongs do play - i think you can guess the song very easily. but i have not put it here because it is so illegal to show the title of the song right 'here

know i have to look up on wot frigging harddisk run i have put the actual interview and original documents, but for now i am getting very tired again,
have a nice one, yours haselore

last train to barfly

dag nasty means exercisin' a field day and that means hanging around with some of the heavyweights like ale krause and here & there making myself a name and an extra coin by keeping an eye on some gear during transport - well, you know how it works... hanging out and talking bollocks... i mean seriously discussing the very nature of true heavy rock!

as well as mr. v. repeatingly playing his flipper records and shouting "don't care anyway, don't listen to what u say, this song rhymes and we'll play it in time! powwwwwww!!!"

because mr. V. thinks that flipper are the key to all that's heavy, as mr. v. of the infamous hier krepiert quartet usually only listens to band like man vs. nature and goldstar - but sometimes he does find his copy of power of expression between the collection of garbage he calls a tight housekeeping! ... and sometimes he has got a clue cause he stated that flipper only were any good before will shatter had his fatal accident with some narcotics he found near the kitchen sink.

which I think is a lot better than an accident by electric guitar cause you don't have to wear rubber boots on stage in order to avoid an accident like this and even worse: you could die with rubber boots on your paws which is not exactly as described in high noon but more like a situation that's looked up on by others as not very cool. with will shatter flipper had this cool hit everybunny knows and that i just cannot stand unless somebun puts it inna live remix together with Timetothink/SAD by those once excellent flag copycats bl'ast (who later turned hawkwind devotees with the help of lots of cool drugs but without kip duvall and an overall production that makes ca. 1981-era the fall sound like fucking soundgarden to your ears.

try to mix these songs down at home, if you have got the necessary equipment and both the albums, but as i would need 2 computers to mix those two tracks (that i do not have at home) i hardly ever play the song...

the atmosphere got heavily loaded: partially due to the relatively cheap alcoholic bevarages from the next DIY shop, partially caused by my loose tongue that cursed mr. v. for the technically inferior quality of his guitar playing and how never changing nor tuning the strings would neither do the group sound any favours nor help to improve it in the long run...

... what gave mr. v. very good reason to generally question the righteousness of my very motives in telling him that he's a shit guitar player - and that he were just trying to get together

haselore | MySpace Music Videos

the next barfly (who will be the topic of one of my up and coming posts)
and he was very surprised about my knowledge concerning bands and all that stuff...

but unfortunately i also told him that his musicians were - looking at the long run - to expect a better career and more dosh by playing in my group.
...much better than carrying on ripping off more second rate flipper basslines, some fishwife riffs and stooges beats. ...and i also told him that nobun would want to waste precious space in the rooms where they keep their record collections with product by a technically totally inferior band and that hier krepiert definately would never get a contract from anybun!

in shock he sat still for a couple of moments, but just a tad later he tried to poke me back and this time by - surprisingly enough - trying to hit with some kind of rhythm stick he found and i went duck and cover inna second!

after a few drinks we became good buddys again - but a little bit later i started again, slagging him for his rather boring arrangements on the four strings...

b
ut he just turned to me and gave me a squaddy's yes mam and he spoke to me "was der scheiss does you eigentlich know, meine liebe frau kohl!?!"

I'd be off for now but here's even more flipper that I could just escape by having the boys watch homer simpson's favourite. and that really put the guys in a purple haze of sweet depression because they will never make it this far - but here i should pass the mic over somebun else: "ladies and gentleman, the hottest band in the world!"

I'll go to bed now and leave you with some kleenex and nevermind that part in nice where there singing about 'em bleedin' pink dogs so and here' s a cut of their 7" backed with some cool live scenes where you can even see marlene marder and her vocals sure sound funny, don't they!

but i think that they were the best band ever to come out of switzerland, at least up to what i know about this country's bands...

yours, haselore
